2022 USBGF Board Election Results

We are pleased to announce the results of our 2022 USBGF Board of Directors election.

Seven candidates were nominated for five open seats. Congratulations to Jack Edelson, Ben Friesen (incumbent), John Pirner (incumbent), Kara Schultz, and Antoinette-Marie Williams on their election to the Board of Directors for three-year terms commencing immediately.

We thank Ian Terry and Martin Thurman for their desire to run for the Board. Both were strong candidates, and we hope they continue to stay active in the community supporting backgammon.

Thank you for your participation. 278 members voted, or about 20% of our membership. The winning candidates met the By-Laws requirement of receiving votes from at least 50% of the ballots cast, receiving between 65% and 88% of the ballots cast.

The Board would like to express its deep appreciation to outgoing Board Members Karen Davis, Art Benjamin, Rich Munitz, and Neil Kazaross for serving on the Board for three consecutive, three-year terms. Collectively they have served the organization in many leadership roles. It is only with their support and guidance that the USBGF exists today.
